Sanmin District Flood Control in Kaohsiung, Taiwan

◎ Description：
The Zhengxing village of Sanmin District in Kaohsiung city suffered from flooding for a long time during rainy seasons. This is due to the village location in the lowlands and a poor draining system. The city’s water resource bureau selected two HCP Submersible Sewage/Wastewater pumps AF-820A (20HP) to help solve the flooding issue. The pumps can transfer up to 15 m3 of water into the Baohua river per minute. The pumps have effectively transferred the water into the Boahua river when heavy rain hits the community. As a result of the project, the residents in Zhengxing village now no longer worry about flooding, property damage, and disruption of their daily life.
